✍️13/ 04/ 2026 Kyiv, Ukraine The Business Ethics and Etiquette School BE&ES and The Institute of Certified Financial Managers ICFM & ICB UK in Ukraine held a meeting with the official signing of a cooperation agreement.
Who have a common single goal – to qualitatively and professionally assist Ukrainian business and specialists, to obtain modern knowledge and best international practices, skills with new experience for the restoration of our state.
“Tone at the Top”. Ethics begins with top management, this is the golden rule of corporate culture. If management ignores established values, employees instantly read this as permission to act similarly.
In management, this principle is often called “Tone at the Top”.
Here are a few reasons why this is critically important:
✔️Role Model: People tend to copy the behavior of those in power and success.
✔️Trust: When top managers’ words match their actions, it creates a foundation of psychological safety in the team.
✔️Real Implementation: Only leaders can allocate resources to ethics training and implement a system of accountability where violations have consequences regardless of position.
Applying professional ethics in modern business has ceased to be simply a “rule of good tone” and has become a strategic tool for opening up new opportunities.
In a world where reputation and digital transparency are crucial, an ethical approach becomes a competitive advantage.
Ethical business conduct opens doors that were previously only accessible through large capital investments:
• Customer and partner loyalty:
Customers increasingly choose brands whose values coincide with their own. Honesty and openness help not only to retain existing customers, but also to win the favor of new ones.
• In order for ethics to work for business, it must be made part of the system:
Establish a Code of Ethics: A clear set of rules for internal and external relations.
• Staff training: Use case methods and simulations to solve complex moral dilemmas.
Personal example of leadership. Ethics starts with top management; without their sincere support, any rules will remain only on paper.
Ethics is an investment in intangible assets. It minimises reputational risks, prevents fines, and simplifies daily work processes through mutual respect and clear expectations.
