Azerbaijan, Baku 10 – 12 October, year 2019 The VI and Eurasian Accountants and Auditors Forum 2019 took place from 10 to 12 October 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Organiser: Association of Professional Financial Managers (APFM / ICFM & ICB Azerbaijan) of Azerbaijan Republic, general partner SOCAR. Partners of the event: Azerbaijan Airlines, ASC, SAL YAN OIL, ZENITH ARAN, ICFM & ICB and others. The forum was supported by the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Economists Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Forum Subject – Accounting and Auditing: Modern Changes

The main purpose of the forum was to hold professional discussions on dynamic development of the globalised world economy, efficient use of financial resources, increase of transparency and accountability in the management system and in the socio-economic life in general, analysis of existing problems, workout of the relevant institutional mechanisms’ activity within international experience and real results on education and international cooperation.

The forum brought together experts and professionals in the fields of investment projects, management, financial reporting and auditing, internal control, legal and judicial aspects, business executives, as well as representatives of professional bodies, regulators from CIS countries, Europe and Asia: representatives of IFAC, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Macedonia, Montenegro, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Georgia, Greece, India, Turkey, Moldova, Romania, Belarus, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others.

The event’s speakers and participants focused on the problematic aspects of the development of profession, and the areas of activity of accounting and auditing regulators, and made proposals to enhance the role of auditors and accountants in the modern world.

At the Forum opening ceremony, Olena Khorikova greeted participants and wished them fruitful work, conveying congratulations on behalf of the President ICB Global & ICB & ICFM Garry Carter, the partners of the international network ICB Global & ICFM UK and Eastern Europe, representatives of the state bodies of the NCSSMC, MFU, NBU, the University “Ukraina”, auditing and accounting Ukrainian community. The Organisers and Partners of the Professional Financial Management Association Forum (APFM / ICFM & ICB Azerbaijan) Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Audit Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Economists of the Republic of Azerbaijan were awarded gifts.

Olga Yelchenko, as the Forum representative of ICFM Institute UK in Ukraine, was moderator of 4 sessions and spoke on the topic “Audit Committee: Creation, Function and Authority. World practice”, ICFM UK Ukraine & ICB & ICFM Eastern Europe, Member of the Methodological Council.

The Ukrainian delegation was represented by 9 people. ICFM UK Ukraine & ICB is an official partner of the Eurasian Accountants and Auditors Forum in Azerbaijan in Ukraine.

The Association of Professional Financial Managers (APFM / ICFM & ICB Azerbaijan) of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Institute of Certified Financial Managers UK in Ukraine (ICFM UK Ukraine & ICB) have an official joint Memorandum and a long-standing partnership, professional relationships for mutual development, prosperity, and participation in cooperative international projects.
